The Leadership Academy helps driven leaders with untapped potential, learn the essential leadership skills to create and drive their own high-performing team.
Over 16 weeks, you will emerge a truly different and confident leader, who will have more fun and drive more impactful results. You will be confident in having tough conversations that actually work, know how to hold people accountable, and have the tools necessary to build and drive your own high-performing team of ‘A players’.
The Leadership Academy teaches for real-life practical change. We learn in ‘bite sized’ chunks so you can implement everything one step at a time. I know every leader is busy, so the commitment is less than 90 minutes a week i.e. no time off needed from your day job. You will learn practical skills, see real life situations of what good leadership conversations look like and complete practical exercises to ensure everything you learn is implemented into your day-to-day life. Every 2 weeks you will also have a group coaching session with me, to cement and challenge learnings, and to assist with any real-life challenges or roadblocks.
The Leadership Academy also includes real life videos of leadership conversations which most leadership programs are afraid to give you. Although theory is great, leaders often need to see what ‘good’ leadership conversations look like in real life, so they can build confidence in how to have them themselves. So the Academy includes over 20 of these as well. These can also be watched over and over.

Modules
Every week you will work your way through 1-2 self-paced online training videos, prior to the coaching sessions. The modules are all 5-15 minutes long and designed to fit in with your busy life.
Coaching
To further cement your new skills there are nine group coaching sessions conducted every two weeks. These are facilitated by Glenda to push you further, and help you practically work through any real life leadership challenges or speed wobbles.
Real-Life Conversations
To successfully change your leadership, its really important to see what great leadership conversations actually look like in real life. To show you this, I've filmed over 20 real-life leadership conversations that you can watch over and over again.

Workbook
For each online module, you will be given practical exercises which ensure these new skills are implemented into your day-to-day job. You will receive a bound workbook of all the exercises, so you can have the content with you anytime you need it.

Weeks 1-2
First Lead Yourself
The Academy kick-starts with a few modules on learning to lead yourself. Here you discover your natural areas of genius and build awareness of the multiplying or diminishing traits you unknowingly show up with.
You then transition into learning how to leverage these more, and how to drop traits that are not serving you.
You finish these two weeks by getting really clear on the results you are accountable for, what must occur for this to be possible.
Weeks 3-8
Leadership Fundamentals
In Leadership Fundamentals you build out your strong leadership foundation. Here you will change your day so you spend the right amount of time on the right areas, become an expert in delegation, so work doesn’t come back to you, and set up clear success metrics and communication rhythms with your team so you can drive them and hold them accountable.
We also dive into the levers you have at your disposal to drive your team even further.
By the end of these weeks, you'll be equipped with the essential tools to lead a team confidently and effectively.
Weeks 9-15
The Tough Parts of Leadership
Leadership isn't always easy, and this section prepares you for challenges you'll face. You will learn how to assess your current team, whether a team member is ever going to be an ‘A’ player, and coaching techniques to ‘coach up’ and ‘coach out’. You will also learn how and when to have difficult conversations and how to hold people accountable.
These modules are packed with many learnings and practical tools so that by the end of these weeks, you can handle the complexities of leadership with confidence and be well on your way to building your very own team of ‘A’ players.
Week 16
Looking Good and Moving Forward
The final week of the Academy is about consolidating your knowledge and planning your future journey.
You'll learn how to manage up more successfully, get feedback on your new leadership techniques, and develop strategies for continuous learning and development.
By the end of this week, you'll have a clear plan for maintaining your momentum and achieving long-term success in your leadership role.

I’m Glenda, a Leadership CFO, and my mission is simple - help driven leaders maximise their impact.
Leading a team can feel like spinning plates, and if you don't have the practical know how it can be exhausting. I know this because for over the last 20 years I have lead teams (of all sizes, locations and cultures), and the early years were hard! So now my mission is to help driven leaders learn the essential skills to create and drive a high-performing team, and … have more fun in the process!
Technically I am a business executive with over 20 years experience in roles such as CFO, COO and CEO in New Zealand and overseas. Although I love driving business and being an executive, I have realised my real passion is helping leaders be the best they can be. Plus, my executive roles have taught me that behind every business or financial problem there is normally a people problem!
I am Chartered Accountant (dually certified in NZ & Canada), with two undergrad degrees, two post graduate degrees, and am Harvard Business School trained. I also am a certified CTI coach, so I bring a unique blend of expertise that fuses precision with leadership systems.
My training and communication style is fun and energetic. I make a point of communicating things in a practical and down-to-earth way - after all, if you don’t understand what you need to do and how to do it, the training has failed. I use research and science-backed approaches, and help you implement the learnings into your life through the exercises and fortnightly coaching sessions.

The ideal candidate is an existing or new appointed leader with a desire to massively accelerate their results. Executives, GM's, Managers and driven Team Leaders have all been on the Academy and seen huge transformation.
The coaching calls are every second week on a Tuesday at 9am NZST. If a different time works better for everyone on the cohort, we may arrange an alternative time.
Magic really does happen on these coaching calls, so try and attend as many as you can. However, all of the coachings are recorded for you to watch in your own time if you need to.
The Academy takes 60-90 minutes each week. The modules are designed to work around your busy life and are able to be watched in 5-15 minute increments, so can be completed in your lunch breaks, in the evening or even while you are watching your child’s swimming lessons.
The Leadership Academy is run in cohort groups of less than 10 people, so you get the benefit of learning and developing together and coaching can be targeted. As such you must start at the start at the beginning of each cohort. However, you get access to the online content as soon as you purchase it, so you can get started early on the online portion if you like.
